Personal Biography

Eng. Jacton Mwembe Achieng is a senior Kenyan civil engineer with nearly two decades of experience across infrastructure delivery, regulatory governance, and professional leadership. He currently serves as Honorary Secretary of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) for the 2024–2026 term.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and is a registered Professional Engineer (EBK A4516). He is a Corporate Member of the IEK (MIEK M.4014), and an active member of the Architectural Association of Kenya Engineers’ Chapter (M.AAK(E) 4693). He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb).

His leadership philosophy is built on Integrity, Inclusion, and Impact, and he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to professional standards, ethical governance, and mentorship across Kenya’s engineering sector.
